Install the app on iPad / iPhone / Android

How to install Tablevoice as a home-screen progressive web app on iOS and Android, plus why there's no App Store download.

Tablevoice runs in your browser. There's no App Store download. On iPad and iPhone we install it as a home-screen app for native-feeling notifications and a one-tap launch.

iPhone & iPad (the most-used path)

Step 1 — Open in Safari

Must be Safari, not Chrome. Chrome on iOS doesn't support adding progressive web apps to the home screen. If you're stuck, check that you're in Safari.

Step 2 — Find "Add to Home Screen"

  • Tap the Share icon (square with an up arrow). On newer iPads it's near the address bar.

  • In the share sheet, scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.

  • (You may need to tap View More / chevron icon first to see the option.)

Step 3 — Confirm

  • The name should read Tablevoice. If not, edit it.

  • Make sure Open as Web App is toggled on (green).

  • Tap Add in the top right.

A Tablevoice icon now lives on your home screen. Tap it. The app opens full-screen, no browser chrome.

Step 4 — Push notifications

This is critical. See Turn on push notifications.

Android

  • Open Chrome.

  • Tap the three-dot menu → Add to Home Screen (or Install app).

  • Confirm.

Then go to Turn on push notifications.

Desktop / laptop

No install needed. Just bookmark app.tablevoice.com in your browser of choice.

Why no native app?

  • One codebase to maintain. Faster fixes for everyone.

  • Same UI on every device.

  • No App Store reviews to wait through when we ship a fix.

  • The PWA gives you 95% of native-app behavior — home-screen icon, push notifications, full-screen launch.

When folks get stuck

The #1 thing we hear: "I searched the App Store and couldn't find Tablevoice." Right — it's not there. Open Safari instead and follow the steps above. The reference Gamma walkthrough is also linked in the Help Center.

Once installed, the app behaves like any native app — swipe between cards, tap to reply, get push notifications. The browser bit is invisible after install.
