Fields
Incoming number
The number guests dial to reach Foodie. We provide this. You don't edit it.
Send text messages from
The number outbound SMS messages come from — booking confirmations, menu links, etc. Often the same as the incoming number. We set this.
Test SMS
A built-in test tool to confirm SMS delivery. Enter a phone number, click Send Test, check the recipient's phone. Useful when you've changed the SMS-from number or want to verify your team can receive texts during onboarding.
Enable transfer to live agent
Toggle. On = Foodie can transfer calls to a human when needed. Off = Foodie always handles or takes a message. Most venues leave this on.
Transfer number
When transfer is enabled, where the call goes. Common choices:
Front desk landline
Manager's cell
A dedicated transfer line you've set up
If you're using call forwarding (Option B in §2.1) and your transfer number is your main published number, you'll create an infinite loop. Use a different number.
User keypad input detection
Detect when a caller presses keys on their keypad (DTMF tones). Useful for IVR-style interactions — "press 1 for reservations, press 2 for events." Most venues leave this off.
When you'd touch this page after onboarding
Adding or changing your transfer number (e.g., new manager cell).
Toggling transfers off temporarily during a staff-shortage period.
Testing SMS deliverability after a Twilio change on our side.
Click Save Changes then Update Agent after editing.
