Hours

How to set regular hours and call transfer hours — including the one-click Google Maps sync. Date-specific changes like holidays live on the venue calendar.

Regular weekly hours and call-transfer hours (separate — see §2.6) live here, alongside your venue calendar — where holidays, closures, and other date-specific changes are managed. Sync from Google Maps in one click if your hours are already accurate there.

Sync from Google Maps

  • Go to Hours in the config panel.

  • Click Sync with Google Maps.

  • Review the imported table.

  • Adjust as needed, then Save Changes.

If your hours are wrong after syncing, fix them on Google first, then sync again. Google Maps is the source of truth most guests look at.

Manual hours

For each day:

  • Toggle open/closed.

  • Pick opening and closing times.

  • For split shifts (lunch + dinner), click + to add a second time block.

Call transfer hours

Separate from business hours. Controls when Foodie is allowed to transfer calls to your team. Common pattern: business hours might be 11 AM – 11 PM, but call transfer hours might only be 4 PM – 9 PM — because that's when your manager is reliably reachable.

Holidays & one-off changes

Date-specific changes — holiday closures, private events, special hours, reservation pauses — now live on your venue calendar. Add them under Hours & Calendar → Calendar, and confirm your plans for upcoming holidays under Hours & Calendar → Holidays. See The venue calendar.

Keep your weekly hours here for your normal pattern; use the calendar for anything tied to a date.

Common mistakes

  • Ignoring the holiday planner. Your team will say "closed Christmas Day" but Foodie keeps booking reservations because the holiday was never planned. Acknowledge each upcoming holiday under Hours & Calendar → Holidays.

  • Confusing business hours with call transfer hours. Setting business hours to 24/7 doesn't mean Foodie transfers 24/7 — transfer hours are independent.

  • Manual hours, then sync from Google. Sync overwrites manual edits. Pick one approach.

Click Save Changes then Update Agent after editing.
