The bread-and-butter playbook. New bookings, modifications, cancellations — all flow through your reservation system.
What Foodie does
New reservation
Detects intent ("can I book a table?").
Collects party size, date, time, contact info.
Checks live availability (Integrated mode) or captures the request (Confirmation Needed mode).
Books or queues for review.
Sends confirmation text to the guest.
Drops a card in your Inbox (green = booked, yellow = needs attention).
Modification
Pulls up the existing reservation by phone number or name.
Confirms the current details.
Applies the change — date, time, party size, special requests.
Sends updated confirmation.
Inbox card shows the before / after.
If the reservation has a deposit, credit-card hold, or is part of an experience, Foodie hands off to a team member. See Cancellations & modifications.
Cancellation
Pulls up the reservation.
Confirms with the guest.
Cancels in your booking system.
Inbox card logs it.
Card type in the Inbox
