Events & specials

Happy hour, ongoing promotions, special events, and discounts — keep this current so Foodie quotes the latest offers.

Happy hour, ongoing promotions, special events. Update this whenever your promotions change — stale info here is more confusing than no info.

Dated events and specials now belong on your venue calendar. For anything tied to a date — a one-off event, a recurring special, a promotion window — add a calendar entry under Hours & Calendar → Calendar so your AI Host announces it on the right days. See The venue calendar. The fields below remain the right place for standing descriptions Foodie quotes when guests ask.

Fields

Happy hour & specials

  • Free-text description. Example: "Weekdays 4–6 PM — $8 cocktails, half-price appetizers."

  • If you don't run happy hour, say so explicitly. Otherwise Foodie may invent a plausible-sounding policy.

Happy hour & specials link

  • URL of your specials page. Foodie texts this when guests ask for details.

Special events

  • Free-text description of recurring or one-time events. Example: "Each month we partner with a guest chef on a collaborative tasting menu."

  • Include dates, frequency, ticketing requirements.

Special events link

  • URL of your event landing or booking page.

Discounts

  • Free-text. Examples: "10% off for seniors every Tuesday." / "Free dessert for kids with an entrée."

  • Leave blank if you don't offer discounts.

Best practices

  • Pair descriptions with links. Foodie summarizes; the link gives details.

  • Date-anchor anything time-bound. "Through end of June" is more useful than "this summer."

  • Update monthly — or when promos change.

Click Save Changes then Update Agent after editing.
